My Father was born in Jones county Miss. in 1911. His mother’s maiden name was Emily Knight. My grandfather was left with a 6 month enfant when Emily died . My grandfather found a black wet nurse for my father. There were 3 older brothers and a sister. My Father never had stories of The Knights, except to say, his father and the paternal side never socialized with The Knights. My paternal grandfather was a policeman in Laurel, Miss. I believe Newton Knight would have been an exceptional man.
