The critics are wrong. Although, I think it is okay for people to not like this movie. It just may not be their thing. Most of the critics complain that there is too much monster fighting. As if kaiju fans care about that. There was a pretty decent human plot, and it was a human driven story with emotion and weight. But, we don't watch these movies for the human story. It's always a side story that adds to the monster driven narrative.
