Metamorphosis, as the name suggests is abrupt change. This analogy has been followed through out the book. The protagonist who is the sole breadwinner of the family turns to a bug one day and from this stage how the behavior of the surrounding people change gradually has been beautifully scripted by the author. It tells us one thing is that Change is the only constant in our life and we should be ready at any instant for a change.
