-spoilers- i really enjoyed the first like 5 hours of the game. the intro was greatly done, the revenge story was great, everything was good. then i started to play as abby, which i had no problem with, but i feel like we play as abby for a bit too long. but naughty dog fills in that time by telling the story of yara and lev. a bit after, we begin to play as ellie again with dina and jj (dina's kid) in their little farm house. later again, tommy goes there and tells ellie where abby is now. this is where i began to hate the game. tommy guilt tripped ellie into getting more revenge when she really doesn't want to. i don't get why they felt the need to add the rattlers, but okay. the ending, however, is when i started to understand it a bit better. ellie feels guilty about ever going to get more revenge, and remembers joel and what he would've done instead, and doesn't kill abby. kinda confusing because she went all that way for nothing, but it really shows how getting revenge has a cost to it, because when she goes back to her house, dina left with jj. overall, the game isn't terrible. i loved the gameplay and the story, it's just the ending that kinda bugs me, and the fact that they made majority of the game telling abby's story instead of ellie's. they went just a little too far with abby, but that's okay. so in general, the game isn't terrible or trash, it's really great, but not 100% perfect.
