It was never going to be easy making a film about a man so immortalized in film, on wax and the internet. There's so much out there about Tupac and his fans continue to gobble it up ravenously. It would be hard to come up with something that feels fresh. But, dang, this movie feels like Benny Boom just went on YouTube and got the cast to rehash those videos. Nice job by Demetrius Shipp Jr. but too many scenes feel like he's mimicking rather than acting as Pac. Not to say the whole thing is a mess. There's some strong acting performances in there and it's great to see ED I Mean play himself. But ultimately one can't help but feel this movie could have been so much more.

Simply the best Spy Thriller in years. Not trying to be too clever and bamboozle the viewers yet not too low-brow popcorn action. The acting is superb, the plot flows seemlessly from one espisode to the next. And a genuinely unforseeable twist at the end. I cannot wait for Season 2, which hopefully digs deeper into the Jackal's past (they hint at it by mentioning his parents in the finale). Truly, truly a remarkable piece of TV.

Great story, great writing, great acting. They don't make great movies like this any more

What a tedious watch. The premise is good but really it just isn't an interesting or fun movie

The Biopic we needed. Insightful, deep and moving. What a Man, what a Mama.

I have no idea who is doing these reviews because this could be the best shoe on TV in years! Super hilarious fare from every day life stories. Brilliant and relatable and even emotional. Bob Odenkirk is a genius

Superb cast and very strong acting. It's all a bit much though. Gets very psychological and intense. It's a hard watch and I'm not really sure what the point is!

Remains hilarious even after multiple watches

Another excellent Spike Lee Joint. Brilliant acting, especially by Delroy Lindo and a compelling tale that is well directed. The timeline got a bit confusing for me since earlier on it appears to be set closer to the Vietnam War: David's wardrobe when he joins the movie appears 80s and there's an old looking camcorder. MAGA references make it clear it's present day yet to me the ages of the some of the Vietnamese who accuse the G.Is of killing their parents seem too young to have been born at that time period. Nonetheless, a close to 3 hour film and not a second wasted.
