It’s 30 years since I saw the stage version and after seeing some reviews I was a bit worried. But I decided to make my own mind up. And I loved it. I agree the fur was a bit odd but...I think the plot was easy enough to follow. The songs are funny, clever (thank you TS Eliot, Andrew LW et al) and the orchestration incredible. The new song fits in perfectly. Francesca Hayward’s dancing is sublime as ever. And Jennifer Hudson’s singing made me cry - beautiful. Joyful.
