Fabulous book! Written based on historical events that occurred in my youth the book is absolutely timeless in it's tale of human struggle for birth rights..I read it decades ago and just finished a re-read that speaks as loudly to the resurgence of racism today as it did during the Civil Rights Movement.
Excellent page turner worthy of starting at page 1 and re-reading again.
