Lauren Johnson

The Selection series has easily become one of my favorite book series ever, and I am so glad to have found it. This book in particular, The One, had more action in it than the first two books of the series, as well as many romantic moments between America and Maxon, which I absolutely love. My only complaint is about the ending... The series so far has held a great story line and has been very well written, but when I reached the second half of this book, I felt like the quality of the writing had gone down. The last events of this book seemed rushed and there were a few scenes that left me confused and/or wishing it had turned out differently. Other than the way it ended, I still thoroughly enjoyed the book overall, and I'll happily re-read the series again someday!
