Erasing the decisions of The Last Jedi (that I will not mention for spoilers’ sake) and seemingly forgetting what the entire overarching theme of the star wars films is has left me bitterly disappointed. The music and cinematography are fantastic, and Daisy Ridley and Adam Driver’s performances are absolutely spectacular. However, this movie in a series set around hope and redemption failed to demonstrate those themes at all, and in my opinion, the main protagonists were failed by JJ Abrams and the writers.
