I came into this movie with very high expectations, and mostly all of them were met. It did a wonderful job illustrating this tragedy, and showing the different perspectives of the different classes. I felt like the movie wasn't evenly paced, and there was not enough buildup for Jack and Rose. While certain parts created great romantic tension, other parts felt too fast. The characters were very self explanatory and it didn't take long for me to get to know them. There were some great directional choices, including different cuts to the titanic. The soundtrack was amazing, and really helped to portray certain emotions. Jack and Rose's romance felt like just another teenage love story, and I wish that there was more time spent giving them a deeper emotional connection so that Jack's death hit a little harder. I really liked the storytelling aspect. Great performances from Kate and Leonardo. I felt like I was there. The sounds were consistant, and there were so many tiny little aspects that tied this whole movie together. I shed a tear just thinking about it. This movie is definitely something to remember.
