its not a bad show just incredibly overrated. I think cuz it is so mainstream and similar to a lot of western shows it attracted many new anime watchers who still have allot to watch.
i recommend and think this will end up having similar impacts to shows like cowboy bebop and samurai champloo

a masterpiece. everything about this from the characters, the voice actors (watch the dub), the animation and the storytelling was perfect.
And many tears were shed watching the last episode
