I'm sorry but although I don't have any clue how the REAL Christine Chubbuck really behaved in real life, I don't believe the actress, Rebeca Hall really showed the true persona of Christine. I was both sad and annoyed in how she seemed carelessly portrayed ... even the way she was portrayed as a messy eater was enough to annoy me. The direction of the movie wasn't too bad, but the acting by most of the actors weren't all that believable especially Rebeca Hall's portrayal. Maria Dizzia was the best actor in the movie, and she deserved better chemistry with anyone who really could portray the real Christine. The best and only good part of the movie was the actual shooting scene, which was stark and terribly stunning to see. The reaction of everyone was on point...but that's about it for my appreciation.
I hope someone else can recreate this story and seriously portray the real Christine. Again, I certainly don't know how she really behaved, but the rigid and very FAKE portrayal of this woman was just gross and unfair. She deserved much better than this. I also believe she was abused by some people in her life....and that her only quest was to be something better than the one's who took her for granted. Maybe it was petty for her to feel that way...but just a terribly sad story. Blessings to Christine and the ones who were so hurt by what she had done.
