The fan base that has grown in response to the improvements made to the game shows what can be accomplished when a developer listens to its fans. This game has grown into a fantastic Star Wars experience that has a lot to offer to all fans.
Having played since the beta, the changes, both big and small, to the game have led to a much better gameplay and quality of life experience. Even during the launch fiasco, the Star Wars feel was still present through the gameplay. If you ignored the pay-to-win mechanics and the painful progression, the game felt like Star Wars when you were playing a match. Now not only have many of the central issues been resolved but the addition of more content has added to the experience.
Supremacy has become the new flagship mode for the game, with the capital ship takedowns being super satisfying to complete. Other smaller modes like Co-op and Heroes vs. Villains offer a more casual experience, and will undoubtedly continue to see players for years to come. The offline experience has been significantly improved as well, with Instant Action offering two new mode types to play completely offline. New heroes, maps, and reinforcements also make this an entirely new game compared to launch.
The game is definitely worth a try for anyone, especially for practically being able to get the game for practically nothing.
