I thank God for Leah and Mike Rinder! Helping to expose this deplorable, abusive, insane and CRIMINAL enterprise!!! This certainly is NOT a religion - but a CULT, as others have pointed out. I can understand a person's interest in wanting to grow spiritually and connect with the Creator of the universe - but when you find out that this CULT does not point that person to God - you have to wonder what goes off in their minds - that this is the road to go down. There is absolutely no possible way that a person taking a "free" personality assessment - that has 1/2 a brain - can actually think that this is a religion. What religion requires it's members to fork over thousands and thousand of dollars to move forward in their spiritual path. I watched one episode where a grown woman now - burst out in tears - recounting how her mother chose to watch Scientology "put her out" on the streets at 13 yrs old - and her mother doing nothing to stop this! She cried saying, "I was 13 yrs old - how could she (her mother) think that I was 'ok" with that....!" My heart shattered for her. A 13 yr old left to fend for herself and going to school, living night to night/day to day - in the homes of her classmates. Years later to reconnect with her mother and her mother not even acknowledging the mental, emotional and spiritual damage her daughter had to endure. It is literally sickening!! The other episodes detailing the sexual abuse that is covered up - is equally sickening! I look at the "celebrities" associated w/this CULT - Tom Cruise, John Travolta, Kirstie Alley, Jenna Elfman. These people are literally off their rockers! When you see shots of their New Year's Eve events - and you see - what looks like normal, everyday individuals standing up, applauding that lunatic David Miscavige - you wonder -- are these people involved in the outside world - or are they the "prisoners" held in the various Scientology locations. Do they work and have "normal" jobs? How do they have the $$ to pay for these insanely expensive auditing sessions, buy the books/materials,etc.? As others have said - how is it that the federal authorities can't "act upon a tip" - and raid one of this locations. Especially that Gold Base in Hemet, CA where Ron Miscavige escaped from. Or get authorities to raid one of those camps - posing as a children's school - on allegations of child neglect, etc. SOMETHING has to be done to shut this demonic enterprise down. I pray that God's hand continues to guide Leah and Mike - and that as this show progresses - that like the Red Sea parting - that a great wave comes down upon the heads of the evildoers in this CULT - and that the survivors cross over to the safety of a new life.
