This movie is trash. It relies on tropes, it’s slow paced af, and Ethan Hawke should be ashamed of himself. Is money that tight, dude? The only redeeming part is the sister. Blumhouse is spreading themselves thin, and it’s showing.

People complaining about the message of this show are missing the point so badly, it’s painful. It’s satire. JFC.

I do not understand the low reviews. People must have forgotten what slow burn psychological thrillers are. Also, this being adapted from Patricia Highsmith, you should expect a level of deviance going in. Best Affleck movie in a while where he’s actually playing a nuanced character, and the actress playing his wife is outstanding as a coquette.

Good Lord, what a load of garbage. I’m guessing if you aren’t into this woo, you’re not indoctrinated enough to swoon over this godawful movie. Everyone involved should never be allowed to be in a movie again as their punishment.

Most of the bad reviews here are asinine. If you think women in their 40s and 50s have it “all figured out,” good for you. My friends and I don’t. And if the politics offend you, too bad. Some of us like watching intelligent, responsible television, and do know children and young people that speak and act that way. No one is forcing you to watch it.

This show was a letdown. There was way too much going on and so many cheesy tropes stuffed in one show. I know it’s based on a book, but it’s like they were checking a list for cliches. And the way the two women just happened to stumble into finding both men. Good grief.

A liberal agenda? Omg, get over yourselves. If acting like human beings seems like a liberal agenda, that might be your first problem. This show is great.
