I am deeply grateful for the honest reporting done by CNN, the scope of what the channel reports on, the professionalism of its reporters, and the people-based stories that it does. I've along thought that news could and should be about facts, policies, stated opinion pieces, etc. - but also stories about individuals and their lives. These stories are records of our time, akin to oral histories; personal, real and insightful. This format of news PLUS how the news is affecting real people in specific circumstances, in the communities being reported on adds the dimension of the affect of government and other institutional actions. Bravo CNN! Keep up the excellent, thought-provoking work.
