Although this is not a true story, it is, to a great degree, reflective of the great Russian tank crews that operated the famous T34 Soviet tanks during WW2. The courage of these brave and fearless men was extraordinary. We owe so much to the Soviet army in the eastern theatre of conflict in beating the Nazis back to the threshold of their front door and securing the defeat of that foulregime.

One of the most intellectually stimulating movies of all time. The subtlety of the dialogue leaves one gasping for words. The acting should have warranted at least 5 acadamy awards. 50 stars wouldn't do it justice.

I rate Pale Rider as the very best of Eastwoods' westerns. It is such a a perfectly rounded and seamless story. The scene sequence is so natural & logical. It is a timeless movie.

It tells the story, and it tells it well. We know how vile the Nazi perpetrators of their racial philosophy were. This need for the inclusion of more graphic & gratuitous violence expected by some is unnecessary. moviemovie

Too much class for this dumbed down age we live in. Brilliant characters, supurb music & wonderful performances. A timeless piece of theatre, or as Liza would say, 'theAter'

Eastwood has made so many great movies but this one takes the cake. Brilliant supporting cast & Harris such a quirky injection into the mix. Love it! 5 stars and then some.

'When you have to shoot, shoot, don't talk' a great line from a great western. Serggio Leone knew how to make them!

Saw this one with my brother back in the 60's. Haven't lost my love for it. Great plot. Great cast of the stars of the era. It has a warmth & good feeling about it the later versions lacked. Bernstein's musical score is fabulous-one of the most memorable pieces of music ever written for a film.

Good old fashion western with John Wayne in his usual tough guy role. A few of the scenes touched with the flavour of the Magnificent Seven & the music with a similar soundtrack.
