No expectations...and what a surprise! The opening was unpromising but the film managed the remarkable feat of satirising the Nazis telling a riveting story and showing the horror and futility of war -- especially one inspired by crazy and evil ideology. Acting remarkable -- especially by Roman Griffin-Davies. Director skilfully juggled normally incompatible elements to make a moving, funny film. . .
