So flash forward a few years and we decided to keep watching 911 Lone Star because we like the original 911. Once we got past the first couple of episodes where they tried to hard to make sure every box was checked the series settled in and wove the back stories of each character into the day to day like of a first responder. They are still checking some boxes but overall the series is decent and glad we stuck past the first few episodes.
