I had high hopes for the show but was very disappointed. They had the opportunity to present a show the was not only inclusive but representative. She's a black teen being raised by non black adopted parents, she's an army brat that bounced from base to base, she appears to be one of the only black people in her town, she is maybe non binary and yet she's doesn't appear to have any level of tension or conflict in her life. Infact, this super cool nerd is the most liked/loved character I've seen. This show only gave us a TV commercial view of life with two dimensional characters and interactions. After four seasons of Black Lightning (and it had it's flaws) this was subpar. The whole thing felt forced and unrealistic.
