Rotten Tomatoes currently rates Awake at 28%. Frankly, whoever rated that was either high or in a charitable mood. NO SPOILERS: The movie doesn’t even follow its own plot. Its Netflix’s attempt at trying to copy Bird Box, with, admittedly, good quality camera footage, props, and effects, but the acting, writing, and production was surprisingly subpar coming from Netflix. To put it simply, it seems like an attempt to see how bad they could put out a movie and see if people would watch it. On the other hand, if you love yelling at the characters through the TV screen, this is definitely the movie for you!
