It's been quite a while since the last season has been put out, and over the past time I have thought about it. The first thing I'd like to address is that I'm glad the writers are trying to do one thing new with a new gender Doctor - was not necessary, but was an interesting change of view. However, along with the risk, the personality they gave this new incarnation of the beloved character was very bland, and didn't give much of who they were. Every Doctor has something in their personality, but she wasn't written special. Don't get me wrong, Jodie is a fantastic actress, which I really enjoyed her work in Broadchurch, whom which Chibnall also comes. They both did fantastic in that series, but Doctor Who.. Not as much. It lacked the thing that makes the show what it is, and that's a story that is connected to each life, and also recalls to other moments. I felt as though this latest series has forgotten (maybe it has) the previous moments, and hasn't developed on them. Give the best series special, MEANINGFUL moments. However, the show had a few good episodes, I especially liked the Demons of the Punjab the most, as it was beautiful put together and composed. Make more like those. Give episodes meaning. And give it more connection, please, through the episodes. And give the characters more personality, as each of them are lacking. But, I think the writers will learn from their mistakes, and hopefully fix them. Hopefully.
