I have to be honest, it’s just ok. I’m actually kind of bummed out because I LOVED the first one. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a decent game i just don’t understand why they postponed the release date soooooo many times to make the gameplay “smoother” when it really isn’t. If it was released on time, I’d probably give it four to four and a half stars but to make us wait an additional 3 and a half years for clunky gameplay is just frustrating. Im not saying I don’t enjoy the game because I do but for all of the “polishing” that was done, I just don’t see it. I preordered when in reality, I would have rather waited for a price drop. Come on Techland, you’re better than this! Then again, I have high expectations. I would’ve assumed the gameplay would be as smooth as say last of us two if you were really “polishing” it pre release. Just my two cents. Hopefully this helps someone make a decision prior to spending full price.😁

So I don’t understand the hatred for the second installment of Last of Us 2. I thought it was AWESOME! Before anyone jumps on this review, I played the first one on every game mode and yes I loved Joel too. I think that everyone who gave bad reviews missed what naughty dog was trying to do. I am trying to avoid spoilers here for those who haven’t played yet. In my opinion, yes Joel got soft but that was kind of the point. He became a father figure again and let his guard down and it cost him. THAT however, was the point naughty dog was trying to make! All it takes is one wrong move in the world of Last of Us and that move is costly! Just my opinion. I also REALLY liked the fact that you get to play as someone seeing it from the other side and it’s not just from Ellie and Joel’s perspective. It really makes you think, who truly is the bad guy? Bravo Naughty Dog! Don’t let the negative comments about gameplay and story dissuade you from making a third installment. I for one love the gameplay mechanics and the game itself is beautiful. There is so much detail and I love the fact you can use the detailed surroundings to stay hidden. I literally just picked off Scars from behind a tree and then moved to tall grass to stealth kill a scar running towards my previous position. You have a lifelong fan right here waiting anxiously for part 3!!😁🤗😁
