For rather an old film, this American comedy is still quite revelant even in 2020. A great film for the whole family. Recommended for anyone and everyone.

This series has clearly had a lot factual thought put into it yet the directors have still managed to place it in a world of magic and mystery. Throughout the series, Lemony Snicket warns us that we should go to view something more pleasant and that if we are looking for tales with happy endings,this is not one of them. This really reflects how we normally choose to be in a state of pleasant ignorance rather than face the unfortunate truth. Also most TV shows have adults being the wise and adventurous ones however,this series flips that concept upside down and has the boudelaire children be the smartest characters. This original technique is shown particularly when Mr Poe never sees through count Olaf's disguises yet the children see it every time. I recommend this series to anyone looking for a completely original,magical series with twists and turns along the way.
