I went in fully expecting to be disappointed. Most "remakes" fail to hit the mark and horror movies are hard put to impress the modern,jaded audience. I am not going to touch on the racial aspect of the film because it is not my place to do so. I was very impressed with the cinematography and directing. The movie felt both refreshing and familiar. I watched Candyman countless times as a child and have a deep love for horror movies. For myself this movie hit the mark for nostalgia and surprisingly as a horror movie. Don't bother with these reviews. Go see for yourself and support the crew and cast for a job well done.
