I do really like this game a lot. The characters are great and fun, the character design is awesome, the dungeons are well thought out and everything is very stylish. I love the social simulator aspects, getting to hang out with friends and work jobs and the like trying to juggle what you want to learn and get done. Great idea there. I'm a huge fan of turn based combat so I like the combat here quite a bit.
There are a few minor issues I have with the game that combine to make a larger issue. The first issue is that sometimes enemies will focus on Joker specifically. I'm not sure if it's just random luck or whatever, but occasionally they just bash on him over and over. The problem with this is, if Joker is knocked out. Game over. It doesn't matter if everyone else is at full health and ready to go, the instant Joker hits 0, game over.
The second issue is that you can only save at designated places in the game. This is an oldschool RPG feature that really has no place in modern RPGs, but some franchises insist on bringing back constantly. I'm the kind of person who saves early and often and it's infuriating to me to lose the game due to random chance, and then, due to the save system have to replay an hour or so of work. Except for boss and mini-boss fights. Those you can restart and try again.
