I will say that I did not see this movie back in the 80's when it came out; I would have been 13 in 1983, but had already seen a lot of other slasher movies. I was able to get ahold of a VHS version back in 1999, and so I watched it on a summer afternoon. I remember someone telling me back in like high school that it had a freaky ending to it. So, basically, the movie is OK by the standards of these low budget slasher films of the day; I only recognized the guy who played Mel, who I think is the Camp Director. All of the other actors/actresses are no names; never saw them before. The girl who plays Angela doesn't have any dialogue, or very many lines; the boys all had NYC accents, and you see plenty of high shorts and tube socks, along with guys with half-shirts, so it is very 80s. I would have to say that the movie is just very average, except for the ending; the killer is revealed as Angela, who turns out to be a boy! She has a wild bugged out look in her eyes and she makes these hissing, animalistic sounds....it really creeped me out and I was like 29 when I watched it. If you like this type of movie, and are pining for the good ol' 80s, watch this movie, but beware, the ending will cause sleep less nights.
