Daniel Talks

*SPOILERS* I want to love this show. Let me first talk about all the great things about it before I get into the bad. The plot is awesome. I don't think its top 10, but definitely intriguing and is worth watching. The characters feel genuine and real. The tension in the story is incredible. I also love the music, especially in the beginning of every episode. Honestly, if it were just these things, its worth five stars. Here's the bad. Its borderline pedophilia and definitely perverse. There's an abundence of nudity, not something I'm against if that's the medium of the story, but why the f*** do they have nude characters they say are teenagers. Its disgusting. I realize they are just animations, but there's no reason to contain that. The sexual parts of the anime feel very out of place and unnecessary. There's actually a scene where you see a fully nude 13 year old girl being abused by her stepfather. I'm not knocking the story for having themes like sexual abuse, in fact I'd admire it for tackling such topics. But showing a child naked and the abundance of nudity in the show is way over the top. TL;DR, honestly an amazing idea for a story and is executed well at most every aspect, but it way to perverted and definitely crosses the line between provocative and disgusting.
