I pushed myself to finish this movie after 3 attempts.
Only one recommendation if you're here for a review before deciding whether this movie is worth the watch, PLEASE WATCH THE ORIGINAL ONE WHICH HAS EMILY BLUNT IN IT.
This one with Parineeti Chopra is just like any other Priyanka Chopra movie nowadays, unnecessarily lavish and "khokla" in the end.
What completely eluded me was why it was necessary to shoot this movie in London? What a co-incidence that the detective and all other key players there were Hindi speaking Indians! Thank God for the private investigator though!
The pace of the movie was unbearably slow, I don't understand why are the Chopra sisters up to ruin 3 hours of our lives with all of their movies these days, and all these movies could easily be wrapped up in 1.5 hours or less!
And don't even get me started on the final revelation. After 3 hours of torture the anticlimax was just infuriating to say the least.
All in all, I have now decided, after Sky Is Pink, White Tiger and this bad remake of The Girl on the Train, I am vowing to stay away from any movie done by the 'khokla' Chopra sisters, unless there are rave reviews about them.
