Only just finished watching episode 1 and was pleasantly surprised. I love this particular era in time, but when I read the synopsis I was a little dubious. The acting is first rate, the action sequences are well choreographed and great fun and the setup of the plot is compelling enough to make you want to keep watching. Looking forward to episode 2!

Less space opera and more true sci-fi. Gritty and down to earth, this tells the story of the early days of the rebellion and how finely balanced it's inception is. Not going to be your cup of tea if you like the original swashbuckling films as this is a slow burner - a sci-fi thriller if you will. Excellent script, acting and filmography. The sets are brilliant as are the attention to detail with regards to costume, hair and makeup. Some stellar performances from Genevieve O'Reilly, Stellen Skarsgaard and Andy Serkiss.

Hmmm. Not really a horror, more like an odd soft porn musical with a few terrible Scottish accents thrown in; the landlord has the worst. To be honest I lost interest and stopped watching when they started singing around the may pole. Not really my cup of tea...but I'm sure it will appeal to others.
