100% transparency: I was not drawn into the show by the trailer. Sorry but not sorry. What caught my attention was the lead Robbie Amell. I’ve seen his previous work and wanted to see how he’s evolved as an actor 🤷♀️.
Season 1 was short enough to watch in one sitting. I enjoyed the black/gallows comedy/“satire”. It put me in mind of the K-drama released on Netflix ‘My Holo Love’ except in Upload he’s actually 💀. And in a strange way it also reminded me of the show ‘Dead Like Me’ & the ‘Good Place’ (excuse the ramblings).
With the world on pause it was a little refreshing, in an odd sort of way. Makes you wonder if technology would actually get us to this point. Or if our loved one’s who moved on, feel a little like some of the people there...random thought. In short, don’t watch it, or watch it the choice is yours, (I dare you to do the latter).
And who knows, hopefully, once we (the World) make it through this crazy time; we’ll be able to see what’s in store for season 2. Fingers crossed.
P.S Maybe they will find a way to revive Nathan...maybe (for Nora). And as for Ingrid—I just need the WHOLE damn wine bottle.
