I think the Steve Harvey show is needed because it comes from the perspective of the heterosexual, one man to one woman kind of perspective. There are zillions of relationships like this that are not receiving social media support and people are forgetting how relationships between a man and a woman work these days. I think that sometimes Steve is old fashioned but its still food for thought. For example one of his audience members asked how he felt about married couples living apart. As an educator, I know several educators who are married and live apart due to their jobs as professors at different colleges or their jobs take them across the country making it so that they live apart of years. Many of these marriages work and I admire them greatly. Sometimes marriage has to take on new ways to survive but survive nevertheless. Steves show is refreshing in comparison to other shows on tv. Most shows are headed by gay men and a show headed by a straight man is an anomaly these days. I am NOT homophobic. HOMOPHOBIA is rediculous and hateful. That is not me. I simply believe that tv is becoming one-sided and balance is a good thing.
