The Laborrettree

Only watch if you haven't read the books or are able to completely distance yourself from the books, it's so different. Just about every scene and every relationship is different. Meggy, Jude and Kamal are fab but the rest of the characters are wooden, and important female characters like the lawyer have been replaced by a guy, and additional males written in unnecessarily. Sephy comes across as ignorantly naive rather than innocently, the show doesn't portray her and Callum's back story very clearly. I'm really enjoying the books, they're very thought-provoking and well written as young adult fiction. But the TV show has been written for adults and has put too much effort into looks rather than story.
