Watched the finale of #Barzakh I was overwhelmed with the novelty of the story and it's cinematography till first two episodes. My opinion started to change from the 3rd episode but till the last episode it got clear. The signs, symbols, themes, costumes, colors, story concept, the artefacts and even the fonts used throughout, clearly showed that it had..."Agenda". The "agenda" to- 1) Normalise "Homosexuality" and "Acceptance" of such thoughts. That's why the character "Saifullah" surrendered himself to that other gay man. 2) Promote "exotic" beliefs that were in sharp contradiction to our belief system e.g concept of "rebirth" through "tree of life" and "serpent eating itself". 3) Insinuate and instill thoughts through subtle messaging with signs/ symbols about "Antichrist" such as: a- colors and styles of costumes of demons calling them Fairies. b- Biblical references of "red moon" and 12 apostles of Christ, as twelve evil souls whom 'Aqa' had kept captive and abused. c- Slogans like " tu Azdaha- tu rehnuma". d- Use of signs like 🌟 of David, fonts symbolizing Freemasonry. e- Ridiculing Holy scriptures as "Book of Nowhere" and people were stoned with blank paper balls falling from the sky. f- Celebrating "Adultery" through subtle portrayal of Adam and Eve eating "forbidden fruit". e- Demonizing the institution of marriage. Agenda to- 4) Justify "Sinful acts" that are prohibited clearly in Islam like- "human sacrifices" to attain salvation. - Murder - Suicide - Psychedelic Drugs 5) Normalize sexual talks/ jokes through children as hideous as "Necrophilia" :( Etc etc etc These are few elements that I being not so literate but, picked up. The play was filled with such rubbish. Was all this symbolism just by "Chance" or "Ae-waein"? :) Absolutely Not! :) The whole story was based on this theme not just one or two "Accidental" signs. Was the play entertaining? Certainly not. :) The pace was too slow. The story was twisted and ultra complex. The dialogues were random...a character when talks about his pains the other one responds in entirely opposite direction. :) It was like no one is talking "sense"- just challenging viewers mind. The play #barzakh for me was nothing but- - a tedious series of lame story with unecessary insinuation of dirty, demonic themes/ symbollism. -forced complexity and thoughtful "Agenda" which was aesthetically shot with wonderful vfx. All in all I feel it was 'fraud' with the fans of Pakistani drama where our star celebs are used, wasted and "ruined". I wonder what the makers and writer/ Director were thinking???? 🤔 Do they really thought that in this age of information they will "cheat" Pakistani audience and get away with it easily? Sorry @Asim Abbassi @ Fawad Khan @ Sanam Saeed and all- You guys have hurt our core belief system in the name of entertainment. An apology is due!

Loved the novelty of the plot- The weaving and unveiling of the mystery. Loved the beautiful foggy cloudy ambience of the outdoors- the location. Already fan of KKK and Mr. Verma but the leading actor who played the Maths teacher...applaud!!! Throughout the movie I was on the edge- did not blink even. It was that engaging. So my kind of movie.

Loved the movie! Interesting new story of two young brothers told in a simple catchy form. It has a magnet 🧲 for teenagers sure but for more grownups like myself it is a sweet watch as well. One night- few incidents- short dialogues able to create profound emotions and brings new wisdom to the table. Already a fan of Babil Khan but the boy who played a younger brother really blown me away. A great watch for the whole family.

Unusual and beautiful! A story of Friendship, drama, rivalry between an experienced brave stubborn explorer and his young companion- their adventure and their struggle for survival. Took place in a backdrop of icy landscape. Superb display of emotions. Great writing and cinematography. Just mesmerizing experience watching it!

Enjoyable, Amusing, bold and with strong message. And ofcourse with Meryl Streep and Leonardo DiCaprio- Love them Always a treat to watch.

Brilliantly done! Sensitively and handled with quite sensibility! Full marks to Producers, Director, Writer, Cinematography, editing and Actors ki toa Kya hi baat hai MashaAllah piyaare Bachae humare!!!!! Sadqe tumhare Bilal Abbas , Sajal Ali, Shehryar Munawwer all young students and all veterans. The best dialogue was when Pakistani team responded India with names associated of our "Khan's"! :) References of Abhi Nandan's " Chai ka cup" here and there amused everyone in the hall. 😊 Friendly nature and "Jhappiyaan" by Sikh brother was quite likable too. Now the negatives:- Music was average except this one song " Chal Chal ke purani raahein" The fake Bengali accent was quite annoying. Because I never liked "political Agenda based" movies so could not approve calling "India" as enemy and bashing it. I would have loved it if no state was targeted and their angle was more "Humanely". Then the topic would seem to be more maturely handled and could have won "friends" across the board. It could have been more "inclusive and uniting" rather "Dividing". But considering their first attempt in narrating and setting Pakistani narrative of history for younger generation I feel it's quite a decent job. A great effort I must say to make friends with Bangladesh and to set a narrative for youth - here and there too. For me it is more childish and immature way of explaining historical events... Just like those Suuny Deol, Saif Ali Khan's Anti Pakistan Bollywood movies. But the thing is our producer and Directors could not dare to make any movie showing "Our wrongs" also. Woah toa Pakistan Mein hi Ban hoa jaati :) So, Nabeel Qureshi and Filmwala guys 👏👏👏 The pace of the movie was good. We did not feel bored and constantly gulping Pepsi and caramel popcorns. It wasn't felt preachy at any moment. "Khel Khel Mein" badree badree batein keh dein. Overall good entertainment. A movie which is a must watch in cinemas for all who wanna enjoy and feel good with "National pride". Great view from "Pakistani" perspective. Purely Pro Pakistani Army, pro Imran Khan movie. 😊 Good attempt! Enjoyable! Good entertainment! Now, wish to see Bilal Abbas and Sajal's full romantic, musical kinda movie. Love their on screen Jodri. 👏👏👏👏 Pakistani Zindabad.

Just watched it. Loved it. Mahira Khan is a true SUPERSTAR. She looked exceptionally stunning throughout the movie. Her performance throughout the movie was phenomenal esp the frustration, utmost disappointment and sheer sense of betrayal at the scene where conversing with "Chutki" on the phone. The movie has no extra special Comical characters but the dialogues were short, crispy and meaningful and...funny too at times. Bilal Ashraf's acting was not super, but cool enough and complemented with Mahira Khan very well. Ali Kazmi as always had done justice to his character. Not for a moment movie seemed boring or dragged like PHL. Every scene is pinned with the storyline and context. A love story painted with stories of achieving/Shattered dreams, betrayal, friendship, sacrifices, selfishness, and patriotism too. But the story was not here and there. There was one focus of the movie which was "not to forget your relationships or loved ones in pursuing your dreams". In the chase of being at the top -of becoming a "Superstar", first Sameer Khan lost his loved ones and then Noori. True dialogue that they were the two sides of the same story. It was beautifully penned. I have become a fan of Mustafa Afridi writing after "Sang e Mar Mar" and "Yeh raha Dil". His witty dialogues always come out very well...even now in tv play "Ehd e Wafa". Kudos to the director Ehteshamuddin- everything, every person, every costume and every detail was beautiful. The movie as a whole was "Beautiful". The tempo got a little slower at the other half but did not drag. You can imagine that I occasionally forgot munching my popcorns fearing to miss my dialogues. The second half makes you glued to seat and could not blink your eyes for a moment. In the end, hands automatically rise to applaud. WOW! Impressive! Thank you "Superstar" team for giving us such a high standard quality work. A movie to stay in your memory for good.

"That's Life! " Tragic, tearful and Throttling... Three words I need to summarize. This movie called "Joker" won't hurt you, won't cut you or kill you... It rather "Possess" you. It has the power of 'Voodoo'... Spell-bound you- that's what it does. You had been a Batman series fan/ follower or not- doesn't matter. This movie has phenomena of it's own. Of course, knowing the background only makes it more touchy and thorough-provoking. Have you ever tried to watch any '3 D' movie without wearing it's recommended special glasses? How bland, plain and bad it appears- right? This movie needs special kind of spectacles too; not on your eyes but on your heart and mind. Otherwise, this movie could not touch you anyway. To watch "Joker" was one thing and to immerse in it was another. It forced you to plunge deep down. The dive though multi-layers of emotions was powerful and intense. It was difficult to find your way out from the convoluted labyrinth of questions shrouded around Arthur Flecks's mind. It's hard to rise again and 'Breathe'. How the society turns a simpleton, naive man who just wanted to 'Smile' - into a freaking cold blooded murderer/ monster; who than became "Good for Nothing" even to himself... A man's story who tried to deviate from the " Norms"- a 'Nobody', the little, gritty particle but who created a storm in a huge still water of civility and 'Normalcy'. A must watch movie but don't forget to wear your specs.

Last night, we went to watch "Parey Hut Love"- much awaited movie since last one month. We got tickets for the late night show. It was difficult to manage after hectic Eid -e- Qurban celebrations but "Movie ke liye Saala kutch bhee kare ga". I was already in love with the songs and went with much zeal to watch Asim Raza's movie penned by Imran Aslam (An Ace writer/ journalist / a great creative genius). But, unfortunately once again disappointed. ☹️ No, it wasn't a "Bad entertainment"- One won't get bored ofcourse seeing extraordinary beauty of Pakistan and other spots. Let me first give you plus of that movie... Beautiful girls and boys dressed up in gorgeous dresses/ suitings and, sherwanis. Breath-taking locations of Karachi, Kashmir, Bahawalpur, Istanbul and other. The decors, the intricate designs of furniture/Pots/handicrafts , their detailing- the Haweli or Palace whatever that was - were all beyond beautiful! The interiors, the colors, some humorous lines, some dialogues, acting, cinematography, lovely up beat dances, the Parsi wedding decorations and last but not the least songs... All of the above mentioned elements were "Perfect". Then why it's a "Bakwas" movie- one might wonder? 🤔 Yes these ingredients are more of a flavour and garnishing stuff for a delicious dish or serve as what cosmetics do for a person. The main, basic ingredient in a recipie for a good dish or the "Backbone" of the person was missing. Yes, that is a good screenplay. A good movie is based on a well thought/ well knitted story with good characterization and dialogues. All the rest revolve around it or only add to it. In "Paraey Hut Love" it seemed that story and characters were going around those music videos/ wedding scenes. That main protagonist's character, played by Shehryaar Munnawer started as a "Loser" and remained a loser till the end. By fluke he got his dream script, finances for his production and eventually his girl even. 🤪 He had no struggle of his own except screaming, whining, crying and letting out his frustrations to his loved ones starting from his Mom, towards his loyal friends, to his father and towards his beloved. ☺️ The heroine at the other end remained strong willed till the end. And one fine day while watching that lame drama serial 's press conference she suddenly realized that her decision was "Wrong"- WoW!!! And her handsome fiance dude, who was much better off (in every sense )than the lousy lovergave up so easily... Like in two minutes ready to give up on his relationship . Pullllzzz. The veteran actor Mr. NADEEM BAIG was a waste. His role was only one grade up than the hundreds of other Cameo appearances of long list of glittering stars of showbiz. I felt that movie was entertaining in the first half, a but t more. After intermission it was like a quick, unthoughtful wrap up of wide scattered pieces of some huge jigsaw puzzle resulting in a distorted, lousy image in totality... In my opinion. I find "Parey Hut Love" as a wonderful amalgamation of beautiful wedding music videos/scenes/ dances and songs. Nothing more.

Superbly done and performed. Story- perfect suspence. Actions- well performed. Editing- crisp. Cinematography- Amazing, profound and meaningful shots. Lights- well thrown. Tempo- fast. Sound- great music. Dialogues- not bad but average. It was more of an action thriller so good. Acting- excellent work by each character. Fond of Ahmed Ali Akber. He is a complete package. Handsome, expressive, dancer, good comedy timings and well formed action hero. Love Ahmed Ali Akber. Direction- Applaud- more so for being new comers. Enjoyed "Laal Kabooter". From the word go it kept us engrossed. So intrigued and it the movie that forgot to munch our caramel popcorns even. 😀😀😀 And the best part is not unnecessary dragging. It just ended logically. It was one and half hour of intense, real, fast paced, suspence and thrill filled Underworld depiction of Karachi- as dark as it was only few years back. Loved it. Congrats to the team. You won our hearts "Laal Kabooter".
