It's a great TV show. It is fast, it doesn't linger on the drama. It highlights the problems the American health care system has. Some may argue it portrays hospitals to be a cruel, profit driven, cold place. Sure, you can take as the whole premise of the show. But is it wrong? Aren't current public hospitals lacking in equipment? Aren't there not enough doctors and personnel and if there are enough staff aren't they overworked? Aren't insurance companies always changing their policies to benefit their own profits? Aren't pharmaceutical companies overcharging?
These are all issues we are all aware of that drift into our headlines from time to time. This show allows us to see how these current policies don't work and it's effects on the patients.
