This book has some interesting info, but it's proof-texting of both the Bible and the writings of the early Church fathers and others is disingenuous t best and deliberately deceptive at worst (which is generally true about proof-texting anyway). The author makes some silly statements such as the idea that Calvin started the Reformation and that Luther's ideas were a response Calvinism. Surely, he must have meant to say something else, as even a high school student would see the failure of chronology there. On top of that, his reading of what Calvin's ideas about predestination is completely off base, and his misunderstanding of the basic theology of Calvinism contributes to the erroneous and mistaken conclusions the author asserts. Clearly not a historian, he misuses history and his interpretation of historical documents in an elementary and self-deceiving fashion.
