I haven't read the book but will shortly - but already know it will be five star review ..... because Marilyn was a true "five star" human.
Marilyn had enormous competence as a highly influential executive at AT&T that went well beyond PR, she had world class character, fought for always doing the right things and was willing to take chances to do exceptional things ... she embodied the best of the AT&T as a caring brand.
I worked for Marilyn running Worldwide Marketing for AT&T during the long distance wars and the repositioning of AT&T as it took leadership in wireless nationally. She always believed in and trusted you implicitly even when you were managing a $1B budget, always promoted your work and, most importantly, was a kind, thoughtful and fearless partner.
Marilyn was not just a role model for women, she was mentor and role model for us all.
Thank you Dick for writing the story of your good friend... she deserves to be remebered and celebrated!
