awesome mini series. I saw a lot of the same issues growing up and I was so unaware at that time. I recommend everyone watch the series black or white. Its an eye opener for some.

One of the best Law enforcement shows on TV. The first season of the Rookie displayed some real Rookie incidents that are true to the profession, such as engaging, officer safety and knowing your surroundings and where you are. The series as now strayed from that but it is still well done and entertaining. All the characters are developed and play an important roll. Worth watching from season one to present.
