While it's not going to surprise you with any revelations and the plot is easy to predict, I still found myself liking it more than I thought I could. The jokes don't always hit, but keep in mind that the target audience is for children, and if I put on the rose colored glasses I had during my youth, I would have been thrilled. This is not a bad movie, and the redesign effectively makes Sonic look both friendly and approachable.
