This is the worst Madden in as long as I can remember. The glitches are plentiful and because of it, playing head to head online is an aggravating experience. It’s one thing to think the game/plays will behave the way you called it, but when your players are colliding with reach other, or CB’s are standing around during live plays watching receivers do leaping one-handed grabs, not much you can do to enhance your experience there (fyi, glitches I experienced are not team dependent). Running the ball is a hit or miss affair because the direction changes are hard to execute for some reason, and occasionally happen randomly right into defenders, with or without your input. I’d say I’m an average online player (10-10 record pretty much establishes that) but it just wasn’t enjoyable to get there. Depending how the computer feels at the time, it’s not uncommon for Mahomes to overthrow a wide open Hill inexplicably, or for Hill to drop it at the wiff of a defender. I was left scratching my head on plenty of occasions at things like that, which really detracts from the experience. The X-Factor/game changer thing they added is way too exaggerated. It reminds me of the old old madden where you give it to barry sanders, just outrun everyone by zig zagging around in the backfield (some of you know what i’m talking about lol), then have wiiide open grass all the way to the end zone. Also it’s stupid that it no longer shows you the previously called offensive play in online games. Shows you the defensive one though. Stupid. Their odd, perhaps even lazy, attempt at advancement drove them back like 20+ years. For the first time with an xbox game, I requested and got a refund after 1 week with this game. Yep, I’d rather just not play it this year than deal with that mess of a game.
