Amélie is such a fascinating character because she possess all that she needs to realize her dreams but still prefers to hold onto the possibility over the person. This was well represented in the movie and I think a lot of people, including me, can relate to her in that aspect, the projection in your head will always be better than reality, but its never as satisfying because it isnt true. Amélie has to take risks in order to find true happiness, scariest of all is she has to make a choice. It's easier and safer to live in your head where endless possibilities coexist and abound, but its also unfulfilling, as you watch your life go by without any of the possibilities you envisioned coming true. I loved everything about this movie, the message was explored in such an interesting way with lovely characters and artful cinematography, and the music of course goes along with the plot perfectly.

I am not okay 😭 This show is perfect. I don't have the right words to describe how distinctly real and vulnerable it is. In just 12 episodes, I found myself heavily invested in the intensity of the shared experiences between two very different people. I'm just in awe of how incredible and rare this kind of tv is. I have never been so invested in a show before and I'm not ready for it to be over. 😢

At first when I watched Jenny and David get together I was disgusted, and I wanted to yell at Jenny for being so naive. However, as the film progressed, I found myself wondering if Jenny even loved him. It was as if she only "loved" him because of all the exciting things and experiences that he presented to her. In 1960s England, it seemed to Jenny that there were only two options for a woman: get a boring job or get married. At first Jenny wanted the get a job but as she began to see all the wonderful benefits to getting married she changed her mind. I found myself actually warming up to David and wondering if their marriage would end up working out. It was liberating for Jenny to quit school and her parents were more than okay with it. But soon Jenny realized that David was not all he said he was, and she went back to school to continue her education. I like this movie because it commented on society's rejection of girls who drop out of school for love. I like that it didnt commend it but instead did away with the idea that leaving school for love is "throwing your life away". I like that there was an option to come back from her mistake. Overall this movie made my skin crawl but it commented on very real problems that still exist in society today. I think that Jenny was cast perfectly, and I also think that the message was good. It's worth a watch if you haven't already.

This show started out a little boring. But I kept watching out of curiousity and the more I watched the more I wanted to find out. I adore all the actors and the plot twists that occur in each episode keep me wanting more! I defintely recommend to any lover of fairy-tales, and even people who don't like fairy-tales, this show will make you love them!!!
