Seasons 1-3 were good, better than I had expected from a BBC Drama. I have just watched season 4 episode 1. What absolute tosh! This is what I thought it was going to be like-bad acting, poor characters, completely uncompelling-i can't believe I made it through the full episode. Wasn't Thandie Newton an experienced film actress by this stage? Definitely an off day for her, this!
