On ps4, the controls are worse than the original- sticky in ways that they shouldn't be. It's hard to move in a straight line. (Tested with multiple controllers) and it feels far easier to get stuck on large objects- as if the game is rendering them in sooner than the original did.
Simplified controls seems to help with some of the difficulty, but the inability to customize controls for quick turns and charge make it a little pointless as simplified controls takes out some of the more intuitive "press" options.
The game itself is still katamari damage, exactly. It may have been nice to see some adjustments to the game or extra content but all in all if you have a copy of the original that still works, don't bother getting it on ps4.
