Superwoke aliens have been in hiding for thousands of years waiting for a phone call to go home, whilst countless major alien invasions occur. They then wake up their giant Dairylea triangle spaceship and reveal they are our long lost ancient god's plus a Nicola Sturgeon lookalike. I found myself guiltily cheering on the oddly named Deviants from early on in the film, due to the bad acting. I question the Director's take on this, new to me at least, set of mismatched heroes. There were lots of stars involved who surely wished they'd read the script before signing the fancy big Marvel contract. Bring back Taika and James Gunn!
