If you are a fan of the books you may be disappointed. Great characters are omitted and others are changed drastically. Once the show ran out of book material the dialogue becomes cringy and character arks are smashed into dust. That’s not to say the show isn’t great in many respects. The visuals are striking and some of the scenes are memorable. Up until the end of season 4, characters like the hound and Tyrion are really fun to follow. People claiming this is the best show ever, I believe, are a bit over zealous. This isn’t even the best show on HBO currently running, that would be Westworld. The Wire and The Sopranos are far better dramas as well.
