I agree with so many of the readers who say it is a self pity book. Having spoken to various homeless people who through no fault of their own and genuine bad luck have fallen on hard times, I am certain some would find it insulting. From having their own home, savings and family etc etc I found it difficult to have any empathy. I continued to the end, but found I became increasingly irritated by it. Also found it very repetitive at times. On a plus note a great insight into the coastal path.
