Didn't hit expectations of other films I'd seen this year. The trailer depicts it as a biopic whereas to me its more of a musical with some true facts. I felt that the plot was very rushed after he became famous and that some things were just dropped completely. For example (a spoiler) he got into a royal academy of music, we see this for 2 scenes and it's never mentioned how he went from that to becoming famous. Some parts are inaccurate to his history as the music fits the character of Elton John in the film and not his actual life. For example, I'm still standing came out in 1983 but the movie depicts it coming out only after he became sober in the late 1990s. Just overall disappointed with the film but there were some funny bits.
