WOW! Brace yourself! BINGED the entire 10 episodes all back to back since last night and I’m still in awe! It was SO creative! It was a little odd with the “70s style mini-game shows or side skits” mixed into emotional Concentration Camp scenes and “Hunt” scenes. They stopped doing so many as the episodes progressed which helped. However, I will say it’s a rollercoaster. I cried. I laughed. I was angry. I was on the edge of my seat. I wanted to scream & I wanted to reach through the screen of my tablet & PUNCH some of the Nazi people. It truly had everything! (Well maybe not romance). There has to be a S2! The last 30 min of s1E10 leaves TONS of open pathways for the characters!!!! I just hope they don’t make us wait 18months like it felt one time w/ the “Man in the High Castle!” I liked the main character- he played a cute 19yr old boy who, i think, gave an accurate depiction of a late 70s Jewish boy in NY(esp since his grandmother didn’t talk about her past). True Holocaust education didn’t begin & reach until recently-once the victims had a lifetime to process their pain & share their stories. Also for enough organic Nazis to die off & not have enough freedom to impact & brainwash their children /grandchildren. I’m saying this Bc a lot has changed since previously classified docs were made public & more “based on reality” WW2 movies & Holocaust films have been released in the last 2 decades vs the previous 5 before that. So, it wasn’t talked about as much despite it only being 30yrs since the war ended. So it took him some time to understand & process the anger & the depth of what was stolen from not only the massacres but also the Survivors. Excellent writing & character development. al Pacino was definitely top knotch! I may re-watch the last episode again Bc I feel like I missed clues! ENJOY!
