Don't know why it just got a 7.5. It's a very realistic and gruesome take on the fantasy genre. There are moments when female characters are overtly and unecessarily sexualized. But if you can manage to look past that, it is a wonderful anime. The character development is top notch. Slaying goblins are like taking out trash in this fantasy world, yet our hero does only that. He kills goblins and nothing else with amazing determination and resilience. I kinda liked this idea. Made me think of the underrated overlooked heroes of the world who take out the trash or clean the streets without a darn complain. There can be heroism without glory and often that is the best kind there is. Anyhow can't wait for the next season.
