Excellent plot. Brutal and gripping screenplay. The best part are the performances. Nana Patekar, gosh what a performance. Karishma Kapoor, so underrated as an actress. She showcased her true calibre as a naturally gifted actor. SRK, how natural and subtle characterisation of a rural teenager who has big dreams, yet kind hearted. His accent, comic timing and agression stole the show, though he had a small screen time.

Well this movie gets better with every passing minute of its screenplay. I can't imagine if this movie wasn't made in 1950s someone possibly today would be able to make a movie of such calibre and powerful message. This movie has almost 0 cringe moments. So realistic that people from every generation will totally connect with it. The screenplay and storyline was amazingly subtle and realistic. The performances were top notch be it Guru Dutt (Vijay) or Johnny Walker. The songs are so metaphorical and meaningful and completely syncs with the screenplay and storyline. And good lord the direction, the camera work is simply out of this world. I don't know why this movie is not yet recognised globally. Now let's talk about the takeaway or the message which in general makes this movie a sure shot MASTERPIECE FOREVER. 1. The most important message this movie portrays society realises your values when you are dead. 2. Fame and money cant buy peace. 3. People will stand by you only if you are important, famous or wealthy. 4. Fake friends will show their faces when you need them the most. 5. Stay true to yourself and don't change yourself for the world. 6. Be honest with yourself and one day success will knock your door. 8. True love never gives up for wealth. 7. Lastly, would you care if such a world was yours? (Ye duniya agar mil bhi Jaye to kya hain?) This movie deep deep damn deep. Way ahead of its time. Take a bow Mr. Dutt.

If you are a realistic and rational moviebuff, this movie is for you. This has suspense, drama, thrill everything along with the western cinematic feeling and Tarantino like Background score. Don't go with the reviews, because those who have given negative reviews are either Salman Khan fans or South action movie fans for sure. They lack in subtle movie taste. This is a perfect watch with not even one illogical scenes. And even at the end they connect the dots very wisely and perfectly. Talk about the performances, Harshvardhan was in a very silent role which his role demands as he is a person who is anguished by revenge. And all the supporting characters nailed in their individualistic performances. Specially Anil Kapoor who is the fuel of the engine in this movie and also those silent gaze and subtle expressions from Harshvardhan.

This movie definitely is not for everyone. This a simply a one of a kind movie which will be liked and appreciated by one of a kind mass. Lighthouse is a psychological horror but I guarantee its a milestone in this genre. The old-school picturesque, the monologues, cinematography, 1:1 movie screen, meaning behind the scenes. Everything larger than life. And the best part are the performances.Pattinson and Dafoe delivered a masterful performance without any glitch. I highly recommend viewers to check the logic behind the story post watching the movie, which I guess most of us won't get after finishing movie. Once you understand the beauty of it's humour. This is gonna be your favourite picks among this genre. If you are psychological horror fan, go for it without a second thought.
